The staff at Libations and folks of Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) extend a heartfelt thank you to all who attended the benefit tasting event last Friday night. 100% of the profits from the tasting will be donated to BHGH. Over 400 people showed up to support the causes of BHGH. BHGH focuses on assisting academically capable and motivated children-in-need, to meet their full potential. They believe children have the capacity to transcend their circumstances if given a safe environment, opportunities, and loving support. Your donations are deeply appreciated.

Hungarian Wines

Hungary has been making wine for thousands of years. It was one of the regions planted with grapes by Roman soldiers. It has been known mostly for a white wine called Tokaji, the gloriously layered, opulent, mouthwatering dessert wine. But Hungarian wine goes beyond Tokaji these days with many mainstream as well as indigenous wine grape varieties. Over the years Hungarians have been careful to preserve their indigenous grapes, but have also dabbled in Italian and French wine grape varieties too. Recently Hungary has been looking to the new world and western wine making techniques to freshen up its flavors and its reputation. Hungary shares the same latitude as France's Rhone Valley. It enjoys cool mountain evenings and many areas have perfect sunshine.
