Join us Wednesday, August 13, 2008 to taste two wines from Emerald Hills Vineyards.
Emerald Hills Vineyards is a small producer, currently enjoying twenty-one acres under vines.
They hand pick the grapes each harvest, insuring only the best berries are vinified.
The vineyard is sustainably farmed, utilizing owls to keep the smaller animals from
eating the grapes. They restrict herbicides and will be using a solar powered drip
irrigation system soon. Their wines are vinified in small batches and are very, very limited.
Libations is fortuneate to be a distributor of these two fine red wines.
Emerald Hills Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon - $35.99
'A well structured cabernet sauvignon that starts with hints of boysenberry, cherry,
and finishes solid with chocolate. It has a long smooth finish and
tastes great now or with bottle aging. This elegant cabernet sauvignon is
blended with 25% petit verdot, which really enhances the nose of this wine.'
Emerald Hills Private Reserve Trio - $35.99
'A sultry blend of 50% syrah, 30% cabernet sauvignon, and 20% malbec.
It has three distinct flavor components: a fruity nose with exotic spices,
the lingering boysenberry mid-palate and the finish which is a long and smooth.
A fine balance of acid, alcohol, and tannins make this full-bodied,
multi-dimensional wine both intriguing and approachable.'
